Sheikh Sultan Bin Ahmed Al Qasimi, Chairman of Sharjah Media Corporation, launched the USA Regional Trade Center (USARTC) in 2012 to boost Sharjah’s economy. The USARTC will help strengthen Sharjah’s position as a regional hub for US investment in the Middle East, draw US businesses to the regional markets, and further strengthen Sharjah’s leading position as a destination of choice for business and investment as part of efforts to increase bilateral cooperation between Sharjah and the USA.
USARTC, which is based at the Sharjah Chamber of Commerce and Industry Expo Center Complex, aims to be the fastest-growing free zone company in Sharjah by facilitating opportunities for US small and medium-sized businesses (SMEs) in the area who are seeking to conduct business to export goods and services made and manufactured in the US, exporting for the first time as well as seasoned exporters in the UAE and agricultural products.
The USARTC is a base of operations that serves as a one-stop shop for non-governmental organizations (NGOs), non-profit organizations, export finance providers, representative offices of the US federal and state governments. The USARTC provides a convenient, reasonably priced location with top-notch infrastructure and highly qualified personnel to assist US businesses, especially start-ups and SMEs, in accessing and remaining in the regional markets.
