Overview
The Media Zone Authority (MZA) established the media freezone Twofour54 to
position Abu Dhabi as a regional center of excellence and a significant participant
in the Arabic media content development sector. MZA wants to establish a platform
for the inclusive growth of Arabic media and entertainment material across various
industries (e.g., events, film, digital media, publishing, music, broadcast, gaming).
Twofour54 also oversees the free zone’s operational policies and plans as they are
put into practice. Numerous well-known media outlets, including the BBC, CNN,
Financial Times, Thomson Reuters Foundation, and others, have established offices
in Twofour54. Nearly 4,000 professionals, including 600 freelancers, make up its
skill pool.
