Dubai Textile Village (DTC)

Overview

A cooperative initiative between TEXMAS and the Dubai Port and Customs Authority created Dubai Textile City (DTC) to help textile traders in Dubai and throughout the world. This customs-free zone makes it easier to store textiles for extended periods of time. It is meant to assist merchants who work primarily in the re-export industry. Dubai Ports and Customs are fully behind DTC, and the Customs Authority will assist in handling the members’ visa needs.
DTC, in the opinion of TEXMAS, will aid in bringing order to the industry. Additionally, it’s expected that the global marketing and promotion of the Textile City would open up new markets and clientele for the Dubai traders. It should be noted that Dubai and other cities are required to use the International System of Units, which mandates that textile manufacturing capabilities be expressed in the metric system. Additionally, the seller must ensure that the offered goods adhere to national safety standards. The growth and development of the firm might be severely hampered by failure to abide by its rules and regulations.
