Dubai Design District is the newest Free Zone business park developed by TECOM Investments. Sheikh Mohamed bin Rashid al Maktoum, the ruler of Dubai and prime minister of the United Arab Emirates, founded it in 2013 with the goal of fostering investment and development in a variety of sectors, including digital media, the arts, design, and fashion. The UAE boasts the largest design market and is not just a business hub but also a real, vibrant creative community.
The mission of D3 is well aligned with Dubai Strategy 2021’s aim of creating a “Cohesive Inclusive Community of Creatives.” With creative energy, passion meets purpose, D3 unites the whole creative league under one roof and one guiding concept. Its purpose is to establish a vibrant community that meets the demands of modern business. More than 180,000 creative people will call D3 home. It will also include new concepts for dining, retail, and entertainment, providing visitors with a singular experience. The Dubai Design District (D3) is governed by the independent Dubai Technology and Media Free Zone Authority. Without a doubt, this free zone is a special ecosystem that helps new luxury, retail, and fashion businesses.
