Visa-free entry
Citizens of GCC countries do not require a visa or permit or to be sponsored by a national or resident in the UAE. They need to produce their GCC country passport or national ID card at the point of entry into the UAE.
Visa on arrival
Indian nationals holding a normal passport and a visit visa or a green card issued by the USA, or a UK or EU residency, can obtain a visa on arrival for a maximum stay of 14 days. The US visa, the green card, the UK residence permit and the EU residence permit must be valid for at least six months from the date of arrival into the UAE.
Citizens of the following countries can get a 30-day visit visa on arrival, free of charge and renewable for a similar period.

Tourist Visa
A tourist visa in the UAE permits a visitor to stay in the country for 30-90 days. Such a visa can be arranged through travel agents or hotels in the UAE.
Types of UAE Residency Visas
There are different types of residency visas available under the UAE law, based on the category;
Investor/Partner Visa
An investor visa is a type of visa that allows a foreign investor to enter, stay and get involved in business activities. The visa issued by the General Directorate of Residency and Foreigner Affairs and the same is valid for 3 years. This visa is granted only after establishing the company. The investor visa cost starting from AED 2,500.00 onwards.
UAE Gold Card – UAE started issuing long-term residence visas enabling foreign investors and talents to live, work and study in the UAE without a sponsor and with 100 percent ownership of their business. These visas will be issued for five and 10-year duration and are renewable.
10-year visa
Investors: Those investing at least Dh10 million, that isn’t loaned and has been retained for three years qualify. It extends to business partners, who must also contribute Dh10 million, as well as spouse and children, one executive director and one adviser.
Special talents: Includes researchers in the field of science and knowledge such as doctors, specialists, scientists, inventors, as well as creative in the field of culture and art. The visa extends to the spouse and children. Within this category executive directors with bachelor degrees, five years’ experience in the UAE and a salary of Dh30,000.00 are eligible.
5-year visa
Investors: Those who have invested at least Dh5 million in property, this cannot be from a loan and must be retained for three years.
Entrepreneurs: Those who have a project with a minimum capital of Dh 500,000. The visa includes spouse and children, a partner and three executives.
Outstanding students: Includes those with grades of 95 percent in public and private school and university students in and outside the UAE with a GPA of at least 3.75 upon graduation. The visa includes the families of the students.
Employment Visa
Employment visas can be processed to the professionals and skilled labors by the companies registered in the UAE. This visa is valid for 2 years for the mainland companies and 3 years for the free zone companies. The mainland visa cost starting from AED 6,500.00 onwards and free zone visa cost will be AED 4,500.00 approximately. The free zone visa cost will be varied based on the jurisdiction.
Family Sponsorship or Dependent Visa
A family sponsorship or residence visa applies to the spouse, parents and/or children of UAE residents. Family members of a UAE resident can apply for this visa if they wish to visit the UAE. According to the UAE government, there are certain requirements that need to be satisfied regarding the respective resident’s designation, monthly salary, and other rules, depending on individual circumstances.
Housemaid or Nanny Visa
Maids have been an essential part of a family in the UAE due to the work schedule. But there has always been a concern about bringing a maid to the country due to the requirements to be fulfilled. A maid’s visa can be obtained by the head of the family (called sponsor, and usually the male), whose salary is not less than AED 6,000.00 a month or AED 5,000.00 + accommodation. Bachelors are not eligible to sponsor a maid. You can only sponsor a maid from the following countries: India, Sri Lanka, Philippines, Ethiopia, Bangladesh, and Indonesia.

A Tenancy Contract that states the presence of two bedrooms. This needs to be attested through the online Ejari System
Electricity and Water Bill in the name of the Sponsor
OEC registration for Philippines maids
An affidavit that states that there is no relation between the Maid and the Sponsor or with Sponsor’s Spouse
Note – – If the UAE Visa holders exiting the country for six months or longer, the residence visa is rendered invalid.
