Overview
The Dubai Technology and Media Free Zone Authority (DTMFZA), originally known as the Dubai Creative Cluster Authority (DCCA), was established in 2000 with the goal of making Dubai a global center for knowledge-based businesses, including media, IT, fashion, movie and production, science and technology, etc. In a total of nine free zones, the DCCA governs seven different industries. In the free zones, there are around 4,500 businesses and 70,000 employees. By creating and managing free zone business parks specifically for these sectors, the Dubai Technology and Media Free Zone aims to position Dubai as an internationally competitive center for knowledge-based companies and consequently fuel Dubai’s sustainable growth.
The Free Zone presently has nine business parks in total, all of which are run by TECOM Investments. ICT, Media, Education, and Sciences are four industry clusters that each function as a separate business.
